Ilkley Olicana 41 Club is the name of an active Club that has been in existence since 1964. It has just one requirement for membership and that is that you must have been a member of a Round Table at any time of your life, anywhere in the world.
We meet one evening per month throughout the year and while its purpose is to be mainly social, many members are actively involved with town events which enrich the community. Meetings are generally held at The Craiglands Hotel, Ilkley, where the normal format is a pleasant meal followed by an interesting and topical speaker. In the summer months, there are organised events, one of which involves wives or partners, and is followed by dinner at a country pub. Christmas provides a good opportunity for a party.
The Ilkley Olicana Club is a great way of meeting people who will likely have similar interests to your own. Our current Chairman, Paul Thirkettle is keen to welcome new members and ensure they enjoy this friendly club’s activities. Potential new members can come to one of the monthly gatherings in order to see if they like the experience.
In the current year we have cemented the bonds of friendship with a number of Sports Competitions and Charity Fund raising events supporting Ilkley & District Round Table, with whom we share a good relationship. We invite all former members of Round Table to join us. |
